Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026 (draft)

No More Drinks is a quit-drinking app from Olivia Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what the app collects, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do.

The short version: we collect as little as the app needs to work. We don't ask for your name, address, or phone number. We don't use advertising identifiers. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.

1. What we collect

Anonymous user ID

A random ID created on your phone when you first open the app. It's how your records are saved and moved to a new phone. It isn't linked to your name or to any account outside the app.

Your assessment answers

What you drink, how often, roughly how much on a typical day, what you spend on it, how often drinking runs long, the longest stretch you've gone without a drink, and why you want to stop. We use these to build your plan, your lessons, and your results screen. These answers say something about your health, so we treat them as sensitive — see Section 5.

Your activity in the app

Daily check-ins, your streak, the money you've kept, lesson progress, checklist and setup steps, notes you write, and how many times you got through an urge on the SOS screen.

Coach conversations

What you type to the Coach and what it replies. To generate a reply, your message and the recent part of the conversation are sent to an AI provider — see Section 4.

Community posts

What you post in the community, and the reactions and reports you send. Posts are shown anonymously to other people using the app.

Accountability partner sharing

If you turn this on, the specific things you chose to share — your streak, the money you've kept, how you're doing — go to the person you invited, along with the messages they send back. It's off unless you set it up.

Messages you send us

What you write to support, and an email address if you choose to give one so we can reply.

Purchase status

Whether you have an active subscription, which plan, and whether you're in a trial or have renewed. We get this through RevenueCat. Card numbers and billing details are handled by Apple and Google — we never see or store them.

Anonymous usage and error data

Which screens and features get used, and when the app hits an error. These events carry an event name and a few small values (a plan name, a day count), tied to a random device ID, never to anything you typed. We use them to find what helps and what's broken. No advertising identifiers (IDFA or GAID) are used.

Device and app information

Platform, operating system version, app version, language and region settings, and — if you turn on notifications — the push token your phone issues.

Install attribution (iOS only)

If you installed the app after seeing or tapping an Apple ad, Apple gives us a campaign-level record: campaign, ad group, keyword, country or region, whether it was a tap or just a view, and the date. It contains no advertising identifier and nothing that identifies you. We use it to see which ads bring people who stick with the app.

2. What stays on your phone

Some of the most sensitive things the app touches never leave your device. We don't receive them, and neither does anyone else. The permissions below are used only for what's described here.

Location (place alerts)

If you add places you'd rather not walk into — a liquor store, a bar on the way home — your phone notices when you get close and shows you a notification. The coordinates and the places themselves stay on your phone and are never sent to us. All we receive is an anonymous event saying an alert fired, with no location attached. This feature is optional, and the rest of the app works without it.

Screen Time (app blocking on iOS)

Used only as a limit you set on your own phone, for yourself — not for parental or workplace monitoring. iOS keeps the list of apps you block, and their usage, in a form that can't leave your device. It never reaches our servers.

Site blocking (Safari extension)

We don't collect your browsing history. The extension blocks a fixed list of domains on your phone and reports nothing back.

Blocking on Android (local VPN, usage access, display over other apps)

Site blocking on Android uses a local VPN (VpnService) that runs entirely on your phone as a DNS filter. All it does is stop name lookups for the domains you chose. It doesn't inspect, log, or forward your traffic, doesn't route anything through an outside server, and never inserts ads. You can turn it on and off whenever you like.

App blocking on Android uses usage access and display-over-other-apps permissions. Usage access is used only to tell whether an app you chose to block is open in front of you — we don't record, analyze, or send your usage history. The overlay permission is used only to show the lock screen when a blocked app opens, never for ads. The list of apps installed on your phone is read on the device so you can pick which to block, and is not sent to us. As on iOS, this is a limit you set for yourself.

Location on Android works the same way as on iOS: it's processed on the device, and coordinates are never sent to our servers.

3. Why we use it

• To run the app, keep your records, and restore them when you switch phones.

• To build the plan, lessons, results, and notifications that fit your answers.

• To generate Coach replies.

• To run the community and keep it a place where quitting stays possible.

• To manage your subscription, trial, and access to paid features.

• To answer your messages.

• To fix errors and make the app better, using anonymous usage and error data.

• To measure which ads bring people to the app, at the campaign level only.

• To prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, and comply with the law.

We don't use your information to target ads to you, and we don't build advertising profiles.

4. Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run the app. They handle information under contract with us, for the purposes below, under their own privacy policies. We don't sell your personal information and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Supabase — database and sign-in. Stores your records and the anonymous usage events.

• Anthropic (Claude) — the Coach. Your message and the recent conversation are sent there to generate a reply. No name or contact details are attached.

• Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) — purchases and billing.

• RevenueCat — subscription status, so the app knows what you have access to.

• Apple (Apple Search Ads / AdServices) — campaign-level install attribution on iOS.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of people using the app or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case the information stays covered by a policy at least as protective as this one, and we'll tell you before it moves.

Our company and some of our providers operate outside the United States, so your information may be stored and processed outside the state or country where you live.

5. Health-related information

Your assessment answers, check-ins, notes, and Coach messages describe your drinking. That's sensitive, health-related information, and we treat it that way.

We use it only to provide the app to you — to build your plan, show your progress, generate Coach replies, and keep the app working. We don't sell it. We don't share it for advertising. We don't draw conclusions about you beyond what the app needs to do its job, and we don't use it to make decisions about you outside the app.

No More Drinks is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional care. Nothing you enter is reviewed by a doctor, and your answers aren't a medical record.

6. Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and a growing number of other states — you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, and to have it deleted. We won't treat you differently or charge you more for exercising those rights.

The fastest way to delete everything is inside the app: Settings → Delete account. It happens right away and can't be undone.

For access, a copy, correction, or any other request — including a request made by an authorized agent on your behalf — email support@nomoredrinks.net. Because the app is anonymous, we'll verify a request through the app itself, and we'll respond within the time the law allows. If we can't verify that a request is yours, we'll tell you why.

We don't sell personal information and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there's no opt-out to give you. We already use sensitive information only to provide the app, which is what a request to limit its use would ask for.

You can also turn off notifications, location, and the blocking permissions at any time in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working.

7. The Coach

The Coach is there to help you keep going. It isn't a person, and it isn't medical advice. No More Drinks is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional care.

Please don't type other people's personal information into the Coach. If you're in an emergency, call 911. For free, confidential, 24/7 information and referrals, call the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). If you're in crisis, call or text 988.

8. The community

Posts in the community are shown anonymously to other people using the app. Don't post anything that identifies you or someone else — a full name, an address, a phone number, an employer, or a social handle. Posts naming alcohol brands, glamorizing drinking, or inviting people to drink are blocked automatically.

You can report a post, and we can remove posts without notice. You can delete your own posts at any time from the community. Deleting your account does not automatically remove posts you've already made, so delete any post you want gone before you delete your account.

9. Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Stored data is encrypted at rest by our providers, access is limited to the few people who need it, and each account can only reach its own records. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security — but we keep the amount of information worth stealing as small as we can.

10. How long we keep it

We keep your records while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, progress, shared-progress records, and messages from your accountability partner are deleted from our live systems, and your anonymous account is removed. Backups are overwritten on a routine schedule, normally within 30 days.

Two things work differently. Messages you sent to support are kept as a record of the conversation, but we remove the link to your account. Community posts stay in the community unless you delete them yourself first.

Anonymous usage and error events aren't tied to your account and may be kept in aggregate to understand how the app is used over time.

11. Age

No More Drinks is for adults 21 and older. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has given us information, email support@nomoredrinks.net and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always in the app and on our website, with the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
